Deventer Op Stelten 2022

Every year there is a large international outdoor theater festival full of art and performances in the center of Deventer. Last year's edition was adapted due to the measures, but this year it will be celebrated on a grand scale. It is the 25th edition of Deventer Op Stelten and will take place from July 1 to 3.

Deventer Op Stelten 2022

This theater festival attracts around 125,000 visitors who watch more than 130 performances together. These performances come from our own Netherlands and normally also from the rest of Europe (France, Germany, England and Belgium). This year there are 25 theater groups on the program, 13 of which are from the Netherlands, including 6 Dutch premieres.

You can find these performances all over Deventer. Watch from the terrace on the Brink, one of the other beautiful squares, in the park, in the historic streets, the churches or at other various (smaller) locations. When

From Friday 1 to Sunday 3 July 2022, the annual theater festival Deventer Op Stelten 2022 will take place in the atmospheric and historic city center of Deventer and just outside (Worpplatsoen/Burgerhaven).

Although it really starts on Friday, you can go to the opening performance of Theater Gajes on the Worpplatsoen on Thursday with a special new way of theater from Odyssee. The rest starts on Friday and ends on Sunday.

Admission & Tickets

There are no rules for the number of visitors per performance, except for some paid performances. This is as long as there are no measures around the Coronavirus.

So there is free admission to this theater festival, except for Duo Berlingo and Tony Clifton Circus. You need a ticket to watch and experience this performance.
